As a Senior Project Manager/Program Manager at Delve, you will manage multi-disciplinary projects from initiation through the hand-off to production for consumer, commercial products, and medical devices. You'll establish a track record of successful delivery by using design thinking and product development best practices to direct client work. You'll use a variety of project management tools to inspire, coordinate, and manage the daily activities of your project teams. You'll participate in weekly planning meetings to support resource leveling.

You'll guide the integration of work by our engineers, designers, and researchers cultivating collaboration, balancing trade-offs, and helping ensure that we create meaningful solutions to product design challenges. An ideal candidate is comfortable with both the big picture and the details, and excited about the opportunity to help Delve project teams continue to grow and improve their capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Be the connection point between the project team and client. Work in collaboration with a Delivery Lead or other senior team member to run client projects.
  • Work with Delivery Leads to define product requirements and track adherence to requirements.
  • Identify potential change of scope issues as they arise and communicate them to the team, account management, and the client.
  • Create proposals and budgets and manage schedules of internal and external support. Document all decisions, and track action items.
  • Maintain responsibility for project data setup accuracy and organization for internal project management database and server.
  • Regularly review project budget status with Account Team and Delivery Leads and request resources to complete project work as necessary
  • Oversee and support the planning/preparation of presentation materials, in cooperation with Delivery Leads and other team members.
  • Work with Delivery Leads to ensure deliverables are met per client expectations and proposals

Requirements
  • 7+ years’ experience in Project Management, Product Management, Strategic Program Management, and/or other client-facing roles
  • 3+ years’ work experience in design, strategy, research, and/or related fields
  • Experience planning and maintaining client projects from start to finish
  • Well-versed and skilled with basic project management software, tools, and systems (MS Excel, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
  • Familiarity with and/or interest in consulting environments and how they work
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus, but not required

  • You thrive in collaborative environments. You have interest and/or experience in inspiring, empowering, and guiding interdisciplinary teams of researchers, strategists, designers, and engineers.
  • You have a proven track record in product design, design research, and or human factors engineering and studies.
  • You have a true passion for project management and human-centered product design. You want to be deeply immersed in the product development process and are willing to educate yourself as needed to truly understand the nature of client work. You like to explore new territories and learn from others.
  • You are committed to high standards of workmanship. You are self-motivated and can work independently with little oversight.
  • You are an excellent communicator with exemplary writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills all needed for interaction with clients, stakeholder, and internal teams.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, because sometimes that leads to the most unique, unexpected design solutions.
