Delve is seeking a Software Engineer with experience in web platform and application development. In this role, you’ll work with web technologies on the frontend and backend including TypeScript, React, and Node. You will also build APIs and cloud-hosted services which support mobile applications and digital devices in the field. Experience integrating with third-party software systems, particularly those dealing with payments and stateful workflows is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills, a familiarity with Agile development processes and modern application frameworks, and a comfort with full-stack development are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve web and API applications using TypeScript, React, and Node
  • Integrate with third-party services via RESTful APIs and backend systems
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality user experiences
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following modern best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting sessions
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability across devices and platforms
  • Work with applications in containerized development environments (e.g., Docker)
  • Create and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure product quality
  • Work with integrated SQL and/or NoSQL database systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience working in web development, with such technologies such as React, TypeScript, ES6+, data storage, and cloud services
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and serverless runtime environments
  • Knowledge of modern authentication mechanisms, such as JWT and OAuth
  •  Experience with integrating third-party web services, such as payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Square), notification systems, auth systems, and proprietary client systems
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
  • Proficiency in Git and collaborative workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with modern front-end web frameworks
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library
  • The ability to work efficiently with a passion for delivering value for the client
  • Experience working with consultancy, or knowledge of how they operate
